Prof. Nguyen Viet Ha served as President of Vietnam Chapter of Asia Professional Education Network (APEN)

On December 02, 2014, VNU University of Engineering and Technology had a meeting with Asia Professional Education Network (APEN), including Prof. Shintaro Ishijima – President of APEN, President of Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology (AIIT) and Prof. Mitsuhiro Maeda - the Secretariat of APEN.


Welcoming and working with the delegation had Prof. Nguyen Viet Ha – Rector of VNU UET, Prof. Nguyen Ngoc Binh – President of Vietnam Chapter of APEN, Prof. Nguyen Ha Nam – Rector of Center for Joint Training, Science & Technology Services and Knowledge Transfer, Mr. Phan Quoc Nguyen – Vice - Head of Department of Science, Technology and International Relations, a member of the Secretariat of Vietnam Chapter of APEN.
The Director of the Vietnam Chapter of APEN has changed from Prof. Nguyen Ngoc Binh to Prof. Nguyen Viet Ha. At the meeting, Prof. Shintaro Ishijima awarded the certificate of The Director of the Vietnam Chapter of APEN for Prof. Nguyen Viet Ha. Simultaneously, 
President Dr. Shintaro Ishijima has assigned Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh as the Advisor of APEN, according to the Constitution of APEN revised on the December 1st, 2014.

Prof. Mitsuhiro Maeda also introduced a number of APEN projects which were being implemented. Specifically, APEN activities aimed at building an industrial community including 03 main contents as follows:

1/ Developing high-quality human resources, mainly through training skill standards.
2/ Connecting tightly between universities with small and medium enterprises.
3/ Find funding resources for operational innovation activities, cooperation between universities and small and medium enterprises.

Prof. Nguyen Viet Ha expressed his desire to continue to develop the network and promote further the activities of the Vietnam Chapter of APEN in the future.
