Signing ceremony between VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET) and Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI)
On April 15, 2016, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on scientific research and training between the VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET) and Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) was held at VNU-UET.
The delegation of Korea Electronics Technology Institute led by Dr. Park Chungwong, President of KETI, Dr. Kang Benjamin – director, global cooperation department, Mr. Yoon Jaebin – team manager, global cooperation department, Dr. Cho Hyun Min – Principal Researcher.
To welcome the delegation were Prof. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Vice –Rector, Prof. Pham Bao Son, Vice-Rector, Dr. Pham Minh Trien– Deputy Head of Division of Science, Technology and International Relations and directors of Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (FET), Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) and Faculty of Engineering Physics and Nanotechnology (FEPN) and Faculty of Engineering Mechanics and Automation (FEMA).
In the meeting, representatives from KETI briefly introduced about the history of formation and development of the Institute. Besides, representatives from VNU-UET and KETI signed cooperation agreements in the fields of training and exchange of students, lecturers and scientific research.
According to the signed agreement, it aims to establish cooperation in the field of Nano- materials, Electronics - Telecommunications, Automation and Information Technology. Specifically, KETI and VNU-UET will exchange lecturers, staff who engaged in research, professional activities; jointly organize conferences, seminars and workshops on common research topics; exchange scientific information to develop research.
The signing ceremony of cooperation agreement on scientific research and training is a sign of strong friendship between South Korea and Vietnam. On behalf of VNU-UET, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy expressed welcome and encouraged co-operation activities between the two units. This event is also an activity in the VNU-UET’s general plan to promote cooperation in scientific research and education.
